The GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD (GOTS) is the gold standard for organic textiles. This certification ensures sustainable and ethical manufacturing across all stages of production. It holds Under the Nile accountable to stringent ecological and social criteria, encompassing everything from organic cotton cultivation to safe fabric finishes, sustainable packaging, and fair treatment of workers. To maintain our GOTS standard, the factory where our goods are meticulously made in Egypt undergoes annual inspections.

USDA Organic: National Organic Program (NOP)

Our premium Egyptian cotton is certified by the USDA NATIONAL ORGANIC PROGRAM (NOP), a strictly regulated standard. The farms where our cotton flourishes adhere to firm standards concerning soil and water quality, as well as wetland, woodland, and wildlife conservation. Crucially, the use of synthetic fertilizers and genetic engineering is strictly prohibited, ensuring the purity and integrity of our raw materials.
